About Improbable Theater Company

The Improbable Theatre Company (ITC) was started in 1999, by several individuals who enjoyed attending theatrical and musical performances through Arizona Bridge to Independent Living (ABIL), desired to become more than spectators. That dream has grown into a troupe of many performers, directors, and stage managers performing numerous lunch-time concerts at Phoenix's Herberger Theater.

Improbable Theatre Company (ITC) is a troupe of Phoenix based artists dedicated to the personal, social and political voices of people with disabilities.

Improbable Theatre Company presents original theatre pieces born out of the life experiences and artistry of people with disabilities, along with published plays. Themes, format and length of performance vary based on the works presented and the needs of specific audiences. Post performance discussions are available to provide forums for dialogue about Improbable Theatre’s artistic process and to explore the artistic voices of audience members. ITC offers periodic workshops on a variety of theatre related topics for beginning and seasoned artists.
